The Hilton Milwaukee City Center is located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee and has long been known as the citys finest hotel with a tradition of excellence going back more than 75 years. Our dining facilities reflect Milwaukees long tradition- The Café features International entrees and The Miller Time Pub, which highlights the citys long brewing heritage. Our newest restaurant is the Milwaukee Chophouse known for it's tender steaks, mouthwatering lamb, fresh seafood, attentive service and extensive, affordable wine list. For business guests, the hotel offers a complete business center with computers, fax machines and photocopiers. The Hilton is across the street from The Midwest Express Center via a convenient indoor skywalk. The hotel is also a short walk to the Lakefront and Festival Grounds, Bradley Sports Complex- the Theatre District, and the famous Grand Avenue Mall with its collection of 170 shops in historic buildings. Built in 1927, the hotel opened as the hotel Schroeder. During prohibition, the hotel was a gathering spot for many speakeasy regulars. When prohibition ended, The Lorraine Bar featured the citys longest bar, the 82 foot serpentine bar and served beers brewed locally, beers that have made Milwaukee famous Miller, Pabst, Gettelman and Schlitz.
