Arba at Ashar is the old name for Arbatax, in Sardinia, set along the eastern coast which is an island intact within the Island. Its an Arab word and means the fourteenth tower, the fourteenth of those towers which stood sentinel along the coast to check Saracen invasions. A four-star hotel in the centre of Arbatax, near the tourist harbour.
